April's here already?!

Wow. That was quick! We sprung into spring awfully fast! : ) Although the Georgia weather hasn't exactly been Spring-y the signs of it are everywhere!

Hope you all are enjoying this spring season!

The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.
Deuteronomy 28:12

Blessings,

P.S. I'll be posting about a fun event we went to last weekend soon!

Mother's Day

What a blessing are our mothers!
A few things they teach us:

"Be completely  humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with on another in love"
Ephesians 4:2

"Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."
1 John 3:18

"...the joy of the Lord is your strength."
Nehemiah 8:10

I hope you have a blessed Mother's Day!

Of Goslings and Chicks

Our new gosling...

...soon after it was born.

Friends.

He's a sweet little fellow that loves the water!

It is so funny to see them swimming together!

With special thanks to the Tractor Supply Co. we now have 9 chicks!

We bought some simply labeled "pullets", two Bantams and Road Island Reds.

Tuckered out.

LOL! A bee flew threw the chicken wire at the top of the brooder.
This little bantam held his ground!

As I was watching each of these different species I was reminded of God's handy work in each of his creatures. I thank the Lord for this amazing blessing!

Duck!

Mia guessed correctly!

My dad and brother went fishing the other day and found a duck and goose nest on a small island in the lake. Benjamin took one of each. After a closer inspection of the eggs they found the Duck egg was beginning to hatch! On Easter morning it was born!

A Happy Easter Day

I hope all of you had a blessed Easter celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord! We had a wonderful Easter at my great-Grandmommie's house! Marianah (my cousin)'s birthday also fell on that day and we were so happy to celebrate it with her!

The beautiful cake.

A flower crown I made for Mari.

Hunting eggs.

Now for a photo shoot of a few cousins:

Spring Flowers

Today was a windy March day. I took my trusty camera and went flower hunting. By the way, I love the first spring rains. They, at times, flow in torrents or in gentle mists. However it comes, it always brings lovely results. Clear blue skies, green grass and....

Flowers.

Beautiful.

Intricate.

Winsome.

Charming.

Colorful.

Intriguing.

Reminding one of the warm weather to come!

Which is your favorite?

"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these."
Luke 12:27

Now I'm going to go off the subject. These two young ladies you see in the picture below are my cousins.
Marianah, me and Julie

They are my Amazing, Wonderful, Beautiful Cousins and I am so proud to know them! I could never ask for better "Bosom Friends." I love you girls sooo much! : )

Spring Rain

It's been raining off and on for the passed few days. As I was listening to the pounding of the rain I remembered a poem I once read.

Rain, rain
Beating against the pane!
How endlessly it pours
Out of doors
From the blackened sky-
I wonder why!

Flowers, flowers,
Upspringing after showers,
Blossoming fresh and fair,
Everywhere!
Ah, God has explained
Why it rained!
-Anonymous

This poem is true! I am seeing blossoms everywhere!
