Blueberry Pickin'

We went a pickin' blueberries a few days ago!!! Some friends offered their amazing patch of berries to us! They were the most beautiful, fresh, luscious berries I have seen in a long time!

There were some tall bushes!

God's great big beautiful sky!

My sleepy little cousin.

Blueberries against a darkening sky.

With the last kiss of the sun, dark clouds rolled in and the rain fell in torrents on the parched, dry ground. The Lord answered our prayers.

Hope ya'll have a blessed weekend!

My Herb Garden is...

Finished!!!!  *Big* sigh of relief. It took us a while to get everything I needed and I'm soo glad it's in! (More pictures of it coming soon.)

^Me mixing top soil and soil conditioner together^

More pictures of our garden:

Cukes

Tomatoes

^Raindrops on corn^

a wittle baby squash!

This is Irish Spring soap. Why do we have it in our garden?
Because it is guaranteed to keep away deer!

Blue Lake Bush Beans!!!
For years we've grown pole beans, the kind that gets huge if you
can't get out in the garden one day. Hence we thought bush beans would
be a wonderful change! And it has been.

Thyme to water my herbs... : )

Have a blessed Memorial weekend!

Spring Flowers

Today was a windy March day. I took my trusty camera and went flower hunting. By the way, I love the first spring rains. They, at times, flow in torrents or in gentle mists. However it comes, it always brings lovely results. Clear blue skies, green grass and....

Flowers.

Beautiful.

Intricate.

Winsome.

Charming.

Colorful.

Intriguing.

Reminding one of the warm weather to come!

Which is your favorite?

"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these."
Luke 12:27

Now I'm going to go off the subject. These two young ladies you see in the picture below are my cousins.
Marianah, me and Julie

They are my Amazing, Wonderful, Beautiful Cousins and I am so proud to know them! I could never ask for better "Bosom Friends." I love you girls sooo much! : )

Spring Rain

It's been raining off and on for the passed few days. As I was listening to the pounding of the rain I remembered a poem I once read.

Rain, rain
Beating against the pane!
How endlessly it pours
Out of doors
From the blackened sky-
I wonder why!

Flowers, flowers,
Upspringing after showers,
Blossoming fresh and fair,
Everywhere!
Ah, God has explained
Why it rained!
-Anonymous

This poem is true! I am seeing blossoms everywhere!
