Fare thee well September!

September, well really this whole year, has gone by fast. We've had crazy weather down here in Georgia these passed few weeks. Yesterday and today have been incredibly windy! Wind to knock you down! (almost)

Mom bought some flowers to plant in our front yard.
It was so windy the plants blew over!

As Mama was preparing to plant, she uncovered tons of daffodil bulbs!

^These are only a few of the many bulbs^

One of the biggest worms I've ever seen.

Dylan came over for the weekend. Our shadows were very long!

Hope you all are enjoying this fall weather! I sure am.

P.S. Special thanks to my sweet friend, Julia, for designing a new header for me! She makes incredible backgrounds. Go and take a look at I Love It! Blog Designs

O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing

O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing
by Charles Wesley

O for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer's praise,
The glories of my God and King,
The triumphs of His grace!

My gracious Master and my God,
Assist me to proclaim,
To spread through all the earth abroad
The honors of Thy name.

Jesus! the name that charms our fears,
That bids our sorrows cease;
'Tis music in the sinner's ears,
'Tis life, and health, and peace.

He breaks the power of canceled sin,
He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean,
His blood availed for me.

He speaks, and listening to His voice,
New life the dead receive,
The mournful, broken hearts rejoice,
The humble poor believe.

On this glad day the glorious Sun
Of Righteousness arose;
On my benighted soul He shone
And filled it with repose.

Sudden expired the legal strife,
'Twas then I ceased to grieve;
My second, real, living life
I then began to live.

Then with my heart I first believed,
Believed with faith divine,
Power with the Holy Ghost received
To call the Savior mine.

I felt my Lord's atoning blood
Close to my soul applied;
Me, me He loved, the Son of God,
For me, for me He died!

"I... heard the voice of many angles, numbering thousands upon thousands."
Revelation 5:11

I wanted to share with you this immortal hymn written by Charles Wesley. He wrote over 6,500 hymns! This song was written on the anniversary of his conversion to Christ. It's powerful message and joyful tune is such a wonderful reminder of Christ's great love for us!

April's here already?!

Wow. That was quick! We sprung into spring awfully fast! : ) Although the Georgia weather hasn't exactly been Spring-y the signs of it are everywhere!

Hope you all are enjoying this spring season!

The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.
Deuteronomy 28:12

Blessings,

P.S. I'll be posting about a fun event we went to last weekend soon!

The Simple Things in Life

The simple things in life, those that little children see, are often more beautiful and wonderful than anything we, in our fast-pace culture, understand.

A child understands what it means to "stop and smell the roses." When they begin to take their first steps the learn that it takes perseverance and many a "try, try, again" before the challenge of walking is accomplished. They look up to us and our reaction to things.

How will we, their brothers and sisters, help show them the Loving Shepherd who looks after His little lambs?

Haydon (above) Gave me these "treasures!" (below)

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Matthew 19:14

Hope ya'll have a great week!

Of Terrariums and the Outdoors

For my birthday, my thoughtful cousin, Mari, gave me this ingenious invention-an herb terrarium. In the pete we planted teeny, tiny oregano seeds. Do you know how small those seeds are?! I was excited when the sprouts began coming up!

.the terrarium.

Can you see the little sprout coming out of the side?
Thank-you Mari, for a lovely gift!

Here are some more pictures that I took the other day:

I thought this one was rather interesting. (It's an old rail road tie.)

{lol, by the way...you've never been at our house long enough unless you hear the train barreling through!}

This is the first year we've planted corn! I love to see it growing.

Our chicks are getting bigger! LOL, they love their food!

Which do you like best?

Hope your having a blessed week!
