Merry Christmas!

"For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his
shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6

"Do not be afraid. I bring you good tidings of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Luke 2:10-12

Thank-you Lord for sending us your son!

Gingerbread Recipe

Hello all! I cannot believe that Christmas is only five days away! This year has flown by so quickly.

I Just wanted to share a recipe I found. It is so good!

*Gingerbread Recipe*

set oven for 350 degrees

4 cups of flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons allspice
2 teaspoons ginger
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4 eggs
1 cup syrup (Any kind will do. I just used pancake syrup)
1 cup of sugar
1 cup butter (at room temp)
1 cup of boiling water

Sift the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, allspice, ginger and baking soda together in one bowl.

Mix together the eggs, syrup, sugar and butter.
Add the liquid ingredients alternately with the boiling water to the flour and spice mixture.
Pour the batter into a large greased pan or two stoneware bread pans. and bake until test done with a toothpick.

*NOTE! The recipe did not give a time to bake. I forgot to watch the how long it baked, so the next time I make this, I'll give the specific time.

Hope you enjoy this!

Blessings,

Depraved Indifference

In as much as you have done it unto the least of these you have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:45

I've seen this on several different sites and wanted to share it with you.
I couldn't stop crying as I watched this. How soon do we in the comforts of our home forget the hurt, lost, lonely and forgotten. The ones who have never heard the name Jesus. The millions who die every day, without hearing the Word of God!  Oh Lord! May our eyes be opened.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving. What are some of the first things we think of when we hear that word? Pilgrims and Indians? Dear family? Good food? Counting your blessings?

"Let us come before him with thanksgiving"
Psalms 95:2

Thanksgiving is more than a holiday. Giving thanks is what we should do every day.

Thanksgiving n.
the expression of gratitude, esp. to God

I am so thankful that God has helped me in times of need. That he guides my path for His name's sake. And that He is the author and perfecter of our faith. God is so amazing. We must thank and honor Him for his amazing work in our lives. Will you thank Him now?

"I will proclaim the name of the Lord.
Oh, praise the greatness of our God!
He is the Rock, his works are perfect"
Deuteronomy 32:3-4

Many blessings!

A little Rascal

What would you do if the house became suddenly silent. The kind of silence which makes you quickly jump up and investigate.... And you found...

A happy little boy, cheerfully playing in the sink.
How'd he get up there? The highchair of course!

Stopping for a drink from the ladle...

but the running water is the best.

Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Finally brethren. . .

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and
if there be any praisethink on these things.

Philippines 4:8

   Have a beautiful day!
